Caroline graduated from the Division of Economic and Financial Law of the Department of Law, National Taiwan University (LL.B 1998). She passed the bar exam in 1998 and started to practice law in Taiwan. Caroline was an associate of Tsar and Tsai Law Firm from 2000 to July 2001 and pursued her LL.M. degree in New York University (LL.M 2002). She was admitted to the Bar of the State of New York in 2003. She came back to Taiwan and worked at a Taiwanese leading law firm, Lee and Li, Attorneys-at-Law for 12 years, at the Corporate Investment Department. Her practice areas include: foreign investment in Taiwan, corporate, cross border transactions, M&A, joint ventures, trade law, labor law, and related dispute resolution.
Caroline has extensive experience in various commercial transactions, including, cross-broader mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings and reorganizations for multinational corporations. Considering the work and life balance, Caroline formed her own law firm, Hartech International Law Firm in August 2015. She would like to exercise her experience and expertise to provide the clients with practical advises and suggestions aimed to the client’s need and with reasonable legal budgets. To cooperate intensively with other attorneys in different areas, Caroline has cooperated with Titan Attorneys-at-Law in 2016 and Justlaw, Tsai & Associates in 2018.
